Right in the heart of London lies Devonshire Terrace, in Devonshire Square. It was built in the early 1800s and used as warehouses to store goods shipped from Bengal, including silk, ivory, and mother-of-pearl. You can also see The Gherkin from Dev Terrace, adding a modern feel to such a historic place. On bank holidays and weekends, Devonshire Square becomes the perfect tranquil private venue, licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies. It can seat up to 160 guests, or accommodate 350 standing guests!!! So good! This place really makes me enjoy London Photography! Check out my blog on the wedding I shot here!

Out of all the venues in London this one is the coolest! Asylum Chapel is a Grade II listed building built in 1826 by the Licensed Victualers Benevolent Institution for use by the residents of Caroline Gardens. Asylum’s Chapel is licensed by Southwark Council for weddings and civil ceremonies. It is a complete blank canvas so you can put your own stamp on it, they also have a selection of expert suppliers – from florists to DJs. They also have an experienced in-house event planner to help you with all your plans.

Another beautiful listed building to have the legal part of your wedding day in. With a stunning marble staircase as you enter the building. It has four rooms for you to choose from, it is entirely up to you so you can have a room that fits your needs. Close to Highbury&Islington and Angel tube stations. The perfect location to jump over to your next venue. Not only that…there are some awesome venues in this area! For example the Islington Metal Works which I’m dying to photograph at!
