The Asylum Peckham, Wedding Photographer
Naomi and Simon
I have aways wanted to shoot at The Asylum Peckham, it just seemed like a venue that would completely suit my style. When Simon and Naomi asked me to photograph their wedding there I jumped at the chance! It is such a cool and quirky venue, and suited this couple down to the ground! On the day I met Naomi in the morning at the hotel she was getting ready in. Right opposite St Pauls!! What a view! Everything was unique to her, the dress was a gorgeous pink with a lace overlay, and she wore this cute bee necklace! Simon wore this amazing deep red velvet smoking jacket and a bow tie. I love when couple’s make their wedding their own, and their personality truly reflects throughout the day.
We arrived at The Asylum, and it did not disappoint! I knew this venue was going to be ace!! Simon was awaiting his bride at the top of the aisle. Naomi and Simon’s good friend was the celebrant for this humanist ceremony. It was great to see a friend take on this role. The words were personal with meaning and humour, she knew them so well and it just made the ceremony with her words! Then one of Naomi’s friends sung to everyone, it was a complete surprise to this gorgeous couple and moved everyone to tears! Absolutely stunning. This humanist ceremony was all about them, and it made it so special!
After a few drinks and some cake, it was then time to hop on the bus over to the next venue! They had hired out this cool little pub where they enjoyed more food and drinks. Said their thank you’s in the speeches and enjoyed the rest of their evening. Thank you for having me there to capture your special day!
